*It is recommended that students try a class prior to officially registering for a class to ensure it is the appropriate level and style for the dancer. Trial/placement classes are each and can be put towards the current month's (month of trial class) tuition upon officially registering. The studio reserves the right to deny enrollment from any class they are not qualified to attend.
*Students, there is no gum chewing, drinking and/or eating in any studio or classroom (Closeable water bottles are allowed). Students need to use the bathroom before or after class. There is no talking in class unless permission is granted from the instructor.
*Parents are welcome to drop off their children just prior to class. Please bring them prepared for class and on time. For the safety of our students, we ask that you have them wait inside the studio (not outside) until their ride gets to the studio. Children under the age of 7 should never be left waiting to be picked up after classes, please have arrangements for rides to be at the studio before the end of class. Students of any age should not wait more then five to ten minutes after class for their ride. Abuse of this rule may result in a student's removal from classes at the studio.
*Class rates are based on a minimum required enrollment, if a class falls below this requirement; we reserve the right to cancel the class (or shorten class time).
*Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to any legal action for any injury sustained on studio property resulting from normal dance activity or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after class.
*MVDPAC is hereby granted permission to take photographs of the student to use in brochures, web sites, posters, advertisements and other promotional materials the school creates. Permission is also hereby granted for MVDPAC to copyright such photographs in its name.
*MVDPAC reserves the right to have students arriving 10 minutes or more late to class or who do not dress in appropriate dance attire, sit out the remainder of class and just observe. Warm up is critical in preventing injury and to enhance the productivity of the class.
*Students and Parents are to be aware that MVDPAC is not responsible for lost and/or left items here at the studio or at studio functions (recitals, competitions or other studio functions). All items left here at the studio are placed in lost and found which is periodically donated to the Salvation Army while all dance shoes found are placed in the shoe exchange box located in the studio lobby.
*The annual (non refundable) registration fee of is due upon initial registration along with the first months tuition. If a students drops out of classes for more than 30 days, they are inactive and must officially re-register and pay the registration fee.
*Monthly tuition rates are not affected by holidays; tuition is based on number of classes for the year (September ? June)
*All class changes must be submitted in writing by completing a Class Change Form. If the student's number of classes is decreasing (including total withdrawal) these changes need to be done in writing by submitting a Class Change Form at least 5 studio business days before the 1st of the month the change(s) goes into effect. Changes made after this deadline will result in studio account credits, no refunds will be given in these cases. Classes added on during the month also require completing a Class Change Form and must be paid for prior to beginning the additional class(es).
*MVDPAC reserves the right to have students sit out of classes if their account has an outstanding balances (including unpaid late fees) until such account is paid in full.
*A minimum attendance level will be required. Students missing more than 5 classes after March may not be allowed to participate in the year-end dance recital regardless if a costume has been paid for or not.
*Any missed classes may be made up by attending a class of same level or lower within the same month. No credits or refunds are given for missed classes. It is the students' responsibility to track missed classes (including dates missed). The office will verify the dates prior to granting a makeup. Only registered students may take a make up class. There are no makeup's for classes missed because of holidays, for Unlimited students (see unlimited student policies if applicable), or for classes missed more then 60 days prior.
*It is the responsibility of the parent/student to be aware of all studio activities, such as recitals, rehearsals, and dates the studio is open or closed. The studio will post all such notices on the information bulletin board located by studio office, within the monthly newsletter, and on our website. It is the parents/students responsibility to regularly check all of these sources to ensure they are informed. It is also the responsibility of the parents/students to inform the school of any student contact information changes.
